It was fun, but I really wanted and rather do actual OBJECTS, not just using a brush and slaping it on the wall, making nothing but color. I'm not the only one who had said that they wanted to do an object instead. But, all and all, I'll admit, it was still fun...
Making the mural was really easy and it was a blast making it. we were the first to do it and after we were finished, it certainly looked good. But, there are many other people will be painting over it but it was great!
Hey Mrs.Gilman it was really cool painting that wall. I think we should have had more colors than there was though. It reminded me of kindergarten when we always did finger-paintings! I really think it will bring out the personality of the school. Sincerely, Brady
Hey Gilman, This is a nice way for people to express their own way of art. I really liked alot since I love to paint to express my feelings. I hope that you do this every year since alot of people liked doing this. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!!!!!!
Gilman, hi how are you. Yeah i thought the thing was pretty ahh weird, but i liked it, cause i got to paint anything i wanted to, except words, and objects, and anyhting except lines and dots and loopty loops, and anything else that isnt a word or object
I liked painting the mural because we didnt have to worry about staying in the lines or making figures. I also liked it because I felt like I was in Kindergarten again when we got to finger paint! The only thing that I didnt like was that I got some on my shoe because I touched the bottom of the wall when we were switching colors. I cant wait to see the final product when all of the school has painted something. I think that it is pretty cool that we get to leave a peice of our imagination for all of the other kids to come to this school. Katelyn L
Winthrop Middle School Talking Wall blog is about the process of creating a mural for the cafeteria. This process has been documented from the begining through images and text.

I think that the painting we did today was kind of "wierd" at first, but after a while we started to try new things and have fun with it.

It was very interesting, the only thing that would have made it better are two things one: if I was dressed properly and that my friends were there.
